We are based in beautiful Hood River, Oregon and shoot just about everything, but specialize in wedding, portrait, and commercial photography. We LOVE our career as photographers and feel so blessed to provide others with photos that they fall in love with.
You might have noticed this blog is barely ever updated… our apologies. Even though we’re not posting new work, that doesn’t mean we’re not busy! We do have intentions of dedicating more time to updating this blog in the future… but until then, please feel free to follow us on our personal blogs:

Yes I know… we’ve fallen terribly behind on updating this blog! The intention was to blog all the weddings we photographed. I only ended up getting about 2 weddings blogged (out of about 30) from 2008! Those two weddings took me a long time to blog… about 3 hours each, sometimes more! So, I just need to not be such a perfectionist and find a happy medium. So until I find that balance, I’ll try to post other things too.
Anyway, onto the point of this post… We love clients that blog! Joy and Jay’s wedding in 2007 was so incredible, and we’ve been fortunate to keep up with them because we photographed Jay’s sisters wedding in NY in 2008, and also they come to visit Hood River every so often too. :)
Joy and Jay just revived their blog and wrote a super awesome post about their wedding, and included lots of great photos by some great photographers ;) Check it out here!

PS- The image was taken at Michael and Shelly’s wedding reception at the beautiful Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. It started snowing… in AUGUST!! Luckily the reception was inside the nice & warm lodge. :)
For most all wedding photographers in America, this is by far the busiest time of the year. Bethany and I have shot 7 weddings in the past month and have another this weekend in Michigan and then another the next weekend in San Francisco. So, it’s been a bit crazy to say the least! Emails need responding, calls need returning, and we’re up to our eyeballs with photos to edit and albums to design!
We’re not complaining in the least bit because we absolutely LOVE our career as photographers but at times you get a little weighed down and tired. But then…. then…. I arrive at the office this morning @ 10 (after editing photos till 4:30AM last night) and I click on the email from Megan & Kelly, who’s wedding we had the honor of photographing on Saturday. Their words from the email after viewing their slideshow:
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!! we have just been oohing and aahing and laughing all morning!! those pictures are all just phenomenal - not that i am at all surprised, just thrilled above and beyond any possible expectation. you both are just insanely talented, creative, present, magical! kelly and i can’t believe we get to enjoy these the rest of our lives - can’t believe there are more where that came from!!

All I can say is wow, that feels sooo sooo amazing to provide our clients with a product they are beyond in love with. That is what gives us so much satisfaction and it really makes us realize how fortunate and blessed we are to provide couples and families with great photos they’ll forever cherish. Can’t wait to photograph our next wedding now! :)

Wow, we’ve gotten soo behind on blogging the weddings we shoot… we’ve been shooting too much and not blogging!
We always get the slideshow up within a day or two of the wedding, and then get the rest of the photos up within 2-4 weeks, so even though all that stuff is already up, we still like to blog about them too. 
So here are some of our favorites from Jake and Ashley’s wedding at the Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast. Their wedding day had some crazy weather which you’ll see in the photos! The day started off being totally clear, hot, and muggy, and then it quickly clouded over and rain was threatening the ceremony. Luckily, the ceremony went off without a drop of rain (beautiful clouds for our photos) but literally 15 minutes after the ceremony, it started DUMPING rain like crazy. The reception was all set up to be outside, and had to be quickly moved inside. All the guests helped out and everyone did it with a huge smile on their face and had lots of fun. Including Jake and Ashley! Luckily the Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast has an inside backup location for when the rain comes like that. The reception was quickly moved inside and looked just as great inside as it did outside.

We’re leaving in a few minutes and will be out of the office for the next week to shoot a wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! Should be a good time! :)

A couple months ago when we were updating our website, I took a screenshot of when all the photos were open and I used Apple’s Exposé to reveal them all at once, with just a move of the mouse. Apple is so genius!
I’m finally putting this on our blog so I can delete it off the desktop already!

Just cruising the net trying to get ideas to improve my shooting and stumbled on your site. Very impressed with your artistic abilities as well as your shots.
Do you guys use HDR? Some shot look like it but not sure.

glad you like our work.
We don’t use any HDR at all actually… we just always try to shoot in great light, and also Lightroom has some adjustments that make the RAW conversions look semi-HDR.

Wow, we are sooo blessed to love our work and have the greatest clients EVER!
We shot Trista and Greg’s wedding a few days ago (slideshow is here!) and they just stopped by our office and gave us the sweetest thank you gift ever… peaches and cherries, picked from Trista’s parents orchard (Alice’s Orchard) just this morning! Trista said “hope you guys like fruit…” Haha, that is half the reason why we moved to Hood River, for the fruit!
